The College Hill Neighborhood Association (CHNA) is “pleased as a purple tomato” to welcome WDIY’s host of You Bet Your Garden, Mike McGrath to Easton for a presentation and Q&A session called Trees, Turf and Tomatoes.
The event will be hosted at the Nurture Nature Center at 518 Northampton Street (just down the hill from Two Rivers Brewery) in Easton on Saturday May 10th at 1pm in the Delaware room. The event is free to the public, but seating is limited and preregistration is required. CHNA asks that attendees bring a non-perishable food item to the event, which will be donated to the Food Bank in Easton. There will also be a book signing after the presentation.
McGrath hosts You Bet Your Garden on WDIY on Friday nights at 6pm. The show is a humor-filled hour of tips and tricks for gardening, house plants, tree and lawn care, focused on organic solutions to horticultural challenges. McGrath’s dry wit and deep knowledge allows listeners to learn and laugh about all things grown in and around the house. His background in the field is deep, as he is a published author and world renowned for his insights into all things green. As a former editor-in-chief for Organic Gardening as well as other publications from Rodale Press, he is a local treasure and enjoyable presenter.
This event is sponsored by the College Hill Neighborhood Association, Unity Bank, and the Nurture Nature Center. We hope you will preregister today!
